Description

Financial Accountant responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the month-end and year-end close process, producing accurate management accounts and financial reports across multiple entities
• Maintain the balance sheet through regular reconciliations, investigation of variances and resolution of outstanding items
• Manage day-to-day transactional finance activities, including supplier payments, customer receipts and fixed asset accounting
• Prepare and deliver financial reporting packs, providing meaningful analysis and commentary to support business performance
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning activities, helping to inform strategic decision-making
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial, statutory and regulatory requirements through the preparation of returns and filings
• Support external audit processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations and responding to information requests
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve financial controls, reporting processes and operational efficiency

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
• Previous experience producing management accounts, financial reporting and financial analysis
• Proficient in accounting systems and confident working with financial data
• Strong attention to detail
• Well-organised
• Proactive and inquisitive approach
• Strong communication skills
