Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join their team in a remote capacity. This position offers the opportunity to manage and execute a wide range of financial accounting activities from your own home office. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting audit processes. This role requires a self-disciplined individual with excellent accounting knowledge and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the country, contributing to the robust financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP .
• Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and tax regulations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
• Work closely with other finance team members to ensure seamless financial operations in a remote setting.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent professional qualification with significant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably with exposure to statutory reporting.
• Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards applicable in the UK .
• Proficiency with accounting software and strong analytical skills, particularly in Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage workload independently.
• Strong communication skills, essential for effective remote collaboration.
