Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client, a growing international company with a significant presence in Belfast , is seeking a meticulous and proactive Financial Accountant . This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and reporting. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented accountant to contribute to a dynamic team in Northern Ireland and play a key part in the company's financial operations, working within a flexible and modern operational framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
