About the Role

Our client seeks a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to lead their finance function in Manchester . This senior role will be responsible for the overall financial health of the organisation, encompassing financial planning, risk management, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, driving operational efficiencies, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and best practices, managing a team of finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support business objectives.
• Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance.
• Provide strategic financial advice and analysis to the executive management team.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of financial management , accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with financial software systems and ERP implementations.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
