About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly competent and proactive Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in Coventry . This senior position is responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. You will lead the finance team, ensuring the integrity of financial data and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth objectives. The role requires a strong leader with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial management within the Coventry region.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of all financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.
- Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance department staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide strategic financial advice and analysis to senior management to support business decisions.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in financial control, reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, with a significant presence required in the Coventry office.
