About the Role
Our client, a rapidly expanding enterprise, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations in Liverpool . This key leadership role involves managing accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting strategic business decisions. You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and maintaining strong internal controls. This is a vital position for a proactive finance professional looking to make a significant impact on the company's financial health and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulations.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (6+ years) in a financial control or senior accounting role.
- Expertise in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
