Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance function in Leeds . This senior position involves taking ownership of the company's financial operations, including financial reporting, compliance, risk management, and strategic planning. You will work closely with the executive team to drive financial performance and ensure robust financial controls are in place. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial planning & analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including UK GAAP/IFRS and local tax laws.
• Develop and implement robust internal financial controls and risk management strategies.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic financial advice and insights to the board and senior management.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.

Requirements

• Full qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 7-10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior financial management role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, corporate finance, and tax regulations.
• Experience with financial systems and ERP software.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
