About the Role

Our client seeks a highly skilled and strategic Financial Controller to lead their accounting operations in Milton Keynes . This senior position requires a comprehensive understanding of financial management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. You will be responsible for the integrity of financial data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and playing a key role in financial strategy development. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the accounting department, overseeing all accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and financial reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of statutory accounts, tax returns, and financial statements in line with relevant standards.
Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
Manage cash flow, optimize working capital, and oversee treasury functions.
Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the executive leadership team.
Oversee the audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.

Requirements

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive post-qualification experience.
Demonstrable experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior accounting role.
In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations, taxation, and accounting principles.
Proven experience in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
