About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Financial Controller to lead their accounting operations in Coventry . This senior position is responsible for directing the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all aspects of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax.
- Develop, analyse, and interpret financial data and trends to provide management with accurate and timely financial information.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including statutory accounting requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure the security of company assets.
Requirements
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA, or a degree in Finance/Accounting with significant relevant experience.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in a senior accounting or financial control role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial sector.
- In-depth knowledge of UK accounting standards , tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Expertise in financial software systems and advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modelling.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
