About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead their finance operations in Coventry . This senior position is responsible for managing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and compliance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization, overseeing a dedicated team and collaborating with senior management to drive business performance. This is a demanding yet rewarding role for a meticulous and strategic finance professional based in the Coventry area.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Prepare accurate and timely statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring all requirements are met.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
Support strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis, modeling, and advice to senior leadership.

Requirements

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior financial management role.
In-depth knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Experience in manufacturing or a related industry is highly desirable.
