About the Role
Our client is recruiting for a strategic and experienced Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations in Birmingham . You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, managing accounting operations, and developing financial strategies that support the company's growth objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles.
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification with substantial experience.
- Proven track record in financial management and accounting operations, preferably in a similar industry.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems is essential.
- Ability to adapt to a hybrid work model, balancing office and remote responsibilities effectively.
