About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Financial Controller to lead their finance operations in Coventry . This senior position is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, including financial planning, risk management, and ensuring robust internal controls. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping financial strategy and driving profitability. Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Develop and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing detailed financial analysis and insights.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax requirements.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
Prepare and present monthly financial statements and board reports to senior management.
Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 years in a controller or similar leadership position.
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting.
Experience with financial software systems (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
