About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations from their Coventry office. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute to the company's financial health and strategic planning. You will be responsible for maintaining robust financial systems, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting to stakeholders. This position is crucial for maintaining financial integrity and supporting the company's growth objectives. You'll work closely with senior management and department leads to drive financial performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into financial performance.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or controller role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Expertise in financial modelling, budgeting software, and ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
