About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and growing company, is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in Oxford . This senior role is responsible for managing all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting. You will play a critical part in financial planning, risk management, and ensuring the company's financial health and compliance. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, contributing to the company's sustained growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close processes.
Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent qualification is essential.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
