About the Role
Our client, a dynamic and growing company, is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in Oxford . This senior role is responsible for managing all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting. You will play a critical part in financial planning, risk management, and ensuring the company's financial health and compliance. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, contributing to the company's sustained growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
