Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly competent and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance function in Milton Keynes . This senior position involves taking ownership of all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. You will be instrumental in driving financial performance, managing risk, and ensuring the company adheres to all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and statutory requirements across different jurisdictions.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering professional development and high performance.
• Work closely with senior management on financial planning, forecasting, and investment appraisals.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive experience in a financial control or controller role.
• Proven track record in financial management, reporting, and statutory compliance .
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP , IFRS, and relevant tax legislation.
• Experience with financial systems implementation and management.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
