About the Role

Our client requires a seasoned Financial Controller to lead their finance function in Belfast . This senior role demands strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of financial management, and the ability to drive financial strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial planning. The successful candidate will be a key strategic partner to senior management, providing critical financial insights and ensuring the fiscal health and growth of the organisation. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Develop and maintain robust financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the company.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and statutory requirements.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, GAAP , and IFRS.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
