Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client, a well-established financial services firm in Liverpool , is searching for a highly competent Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations. This vital on-site role involves managing accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will play a key leadership role, driving financial strategy and providing essential insights to the executive team. This is a demanding but rewarding position within a stable and growing company.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasting processes.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
• Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
