About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent and experienced Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in Wolverhampton . This key role is responsible for managing all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial data, providing critical insights to support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS or GAAP.
Develop and manage the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence.

Requirements

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior accounting management role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
