Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

About the Role

Our client in Wolverhampton is seeking a sharp and analytical Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join their growing team. This role is instrumental in providing critical financial insights, driving business performance, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust forecasting and budgeting. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will collaborate closely with various departments to analyse financial data, identify trends, and present actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Analyse financial performance against budget and prior periods, providing variance explanations.
• Prepare management reports and presentations on financial results, KPIs, and business insights.
• Support business unit leaders with financial analysis for decision-making and performance improvement.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
• Assist in the implementation and enhancement of FP&A systems and processes.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or a strong finance degree.
• Demonstrable experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex modeling and data analysis.
• Experience with financial reporting tools or ERP systems is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
