Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to lead their FP&A function in Oxford . This role is key to driving financial performance through robust budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis. You will lead a team, collaborate with senior management, and provide critical insights to support business growth and profitability. The hybrid working model allows for effective team leadership and stakeholder engagement while maintaining the flexibility to work remotely on specific tasks, contributing to a productive and balanced work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the organisation.
• Develop and analyse financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and variances.
• Prepare comprehensive management reports, financial dashboards, and presentations for executive leadership.
• Drive strategic financial planning initiatives, including long-range planning and scenario analysis.
• Provide financial guidance and support to business unit leaders to optimise performance.
• Mentor and develop a team of financial analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis roles.
• Proven experience in leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and business drivers.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
