Job Description
We are seeking a skiled Fire & Security Service and Smal Works Engineer to join our team. The role involves servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on fire alarm and security systems across a variety of client sites. You wil also carry out remedial works, system upgrades and minor modifications to ensure systems remain compliant and fuly operational.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Routine Service, maintenance and fault-finding of fire alarm and security systems across a range of client sites.
* Carry out remedial works, system upgrades, additions and minor modifications as required.
* Undertake smal works instalations, including extensions to existing systems and the installation of smaler standalone fire and security systems.
* Ensure al systems serviced, repaired or insta led meet regulatory and company standards.
* Maintain accurate service records, including test results, certificates, as fitted drawings and system documentation.
* Work closely with the service team and engineers to deliver timely, effective maintenance and support solutions.
* Provide technical support and advice to clients, ensuring clear communication and a high standard of customer service.
Details
* Door-to-door travel: currently around 30 minutes each way.
* Call-out: approximately 1 in 5 weeks.
* Call-out standby: £135 per week, with door-to-door travel paid at 1.5 times the normal rate.
* The majority of the work is within Peterborough and the surrounding counties, with a small number of national sites
