Fire and Security Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled Fire and Security Systems Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh . This role involves the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of integrated fire detection, alarm, and security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms. You will ensure these vital systems operate reliably and meet all regulatory compliance standards for clients across various sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing on existing security and fire detection equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults across a range of fire and security systems.
• Ensure all installations and maintenance adhere to relevant British Standards and industry regulations.
• Provide technical support and system demonstrations to clients in Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
• Maintain accurate service reports and inventory of parts used.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fire and Security Systems Engineer .
• In-depth knowledge of fire alarm panels, CCTV systems, access control hardware, and related software.
• Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., FIA, NSI certifications) are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of networking principles as applied to IP-based security systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving license is essential for travel to client sites.
