Fire and Security Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proficient Fire and Security Systems Engineer to join their growing team in Southampton . In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a wide range of fire alarm and security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms. You will work on diverse projects for commercial and domestic clients, ensuring systems are fully functional and compliant with relevant British Standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual in the Southampton area who is passionate about safety and security technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and testing on existing security and fire systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults on all types of fire and security equipment.
• Ensure all installations and services meet NSI and relevant British Standard requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to clients.

Requirements

• Experience in installing and maintaining fire and security systems.
• Knowledge of various manufacturers' equipment and system types.
• Relevant industry qualifications or certifications (e.g., FIA, BTEC).
• Strong understanding of BS 5839, BS 7858, and other relevant standards.
• Full UK driving license required for site visits.
