Fire and Security Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Fire and Security Systems Engineer to join their growing team in Liverpool . This role involves the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a wide range of fire detection, alarm, and security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms. You will be responsible for ensuring these critical systems are fully operational and compliant with industry standards. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and fault finding on installed security and fire systems.
• Diagnose and repair system faults efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational effectiveness.
• Conduct system tests and provide user training on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant British Standards (e.g., BS 5839, BS 7671, PD 6662).
• Maintain accurate project documentation, service reports, and system logs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in installing and maintaining fire and security systems.
• Knowledge of various manufacturers' equipment and systems (e.g., Paxton, Hikvision, Gent, Notifier).
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIA, relevant NSI courses) are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and network basics related to security systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel, with a flexible approach to working hours.
