About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Flight Operations Specialist to support their growing flight operations department in Nottingham . You will be responsible for assisting the flight dispatchers and operations managers in the day-to-day running of flight operations, ensuring all administrative and logistical aspects are handled efficiently. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced aviation environment. As a Flight Operations Specialist, you will contribute directly to the seamless and safe execution of flight schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with flight planning, including weather checks, NOTAM dissemination, and fuel calculations.
- Manage and update flight documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with flight crew, maintenance, and ground handling teams to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor flight progress and communicate operational updates as directed.
- Process and record operational data for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Provide administrative support to the flight operations team, including scheduling and record-keeping.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or operational support role, preferably within the aviation industry.
- Good understanding of basic aviation principles and terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
