Our client, a notable pharmaceutical company, is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Senior Medical Information Specialist to join their Medical Affairs team in Nottingham . This role is vital for providing accurate, timely, and scientifically sound medical information to healthcare professionals, patients, and internal stakeholders regarding the company's products. You will be responsible for managing incoming medical inquiries, developing standard response documents, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced medical information professional to contribute to product support and scientific communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to complex medical inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers regarding company products.
- Develop, review, and update standard response documents (SRDs) and other medical information materials.
- Ensure all medical information activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and company SOPs.
- Collaborate with medical affairs, regulatory affairs, and legal teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of information.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all medical information requests and responses using the designated database.
- Contribute to the training of junior staff and the continuous improvement of medical information processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in pharmacy, life sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in medical information or a related role within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical products, therapeutic areas, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines relevant to medical information (e.g., promotional compliance).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using medical information databases and CRM systems.
