About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized FMCG Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic team, supporting operations in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers. You will be responsible for coordinating transportation, managing inventory levels, and liaising with various stakeholders to optimize the supply chain. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, perfect for an individual who excels at managing complex logistics within the fast-moving consumer goods sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including scheduling shipments, tracking deliveries, and managing carrier relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels and liaise with warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock management and timely order fulfillment.
- Process shipping documentation, customs forms, and other relevant paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Resolve logistics issues and disruptions promptly, ensuring minimal impact on supply chain operations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar coordination role, preferably in FMCG .
- Strong understanding of transportation modes, warehousing, and inventory management principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work setting.
