About the Role
Our client, a leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Portsmouth . This role is crucial for managing the end-to-end movement of goods, ensuring efficient delivery schedules and maintaining strong relationships with transport providers. You will play a key part in the supply chain, ensuring that our client's products are delivered to market effectively and on time. This hybrid position allows for both office-based planning and some remote flexibility, supporting the operational backbone of a dynamic consumer goods business.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of FMCG products .
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and hauliers to arrange transportation and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipment details, costs, and delivery status.
- Process shipping documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Resolve any issues or delays in transit, communicating effectively with all parties involved.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Requirements
- Experience in a logistics or supply chain role, preferably within the FMCG industry .
- Strong understanding of transportation management and shipping procedures.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model from our Portsmouth office.
