About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented FMCG Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of products to market. You will be responsible for analyzing supply chain data, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending improvements to inventory management, logistics, and distribution processes. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of supply chain principles within the fast-moving consumer goods environment, contributing to cost reduction and service level enhancements across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the FMCG operations.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain activities, monitoring performance against targets.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to streamline processes and reduce costs.
- Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing holding costs in Newcastle upon Tyne .
- Identify and implement best practices for supply chain management, leveraging technology and data analysis.
- Support the implementation of new supply chain initiatives and systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Supply Chain Analyst role, preferably within the FMCG industry .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.
- Experience with supply chain planning software and systems is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
