About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Food and Beverage Director to lead the culinary and service operations for a prominent hotel in Cardiff . This senior leadership role is responsible for developing innovative F&B strategies, managing all outlets including restaurants, bars, banqueting, and room service, and ensuring exceptional quality and profitability. You will drive revenue through creative menu development, effective cost management, and delivering outstanding guest experiences, playing a crucial part in shaping the hotel's culinary identity and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall food and beverage strategy to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Oversee all F&B outlets, ensuring consistent quality, service standards, and guest satisfaction.
• Manage budgets, control costs, monitor inventory, and implement effective pricing strategies.
• Lead, train, and inspire the F&B team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Create innovative menus, source high-quality ingredients, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional activities and special events to drive business.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior Food and Beverage management role, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple F&B outlets and delivering profitable results.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
• Expertise in menu engineering, costing, inventory control, and financial management.
• Passion for culinary trends, exceptional service, and delivering memorable guest experiences in Cardiff .
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Hospitality or Culinary Arts is highly regarded.
