Forensic Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and investigative Forensic Accountant to join their specialised team on a fully remote basis. This critical role involves conducting in-depth financial investigations into fraud, financial crime, and disputes. You will be responsible for gathering and analysing financial evidence, preparing detailed reports, and potentially providing expert witness testimony in legal proceedings. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial investigations into allegations of fraud, embezzlement, and financial misconduct.
• Gather, preserve, and analyse financial data from various sources, including company records and digital evidence.
• Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported forensic accounting reports detailing findings and conclusions.
• Quantify financial losses and damages resulting from fraudulent activities or breaches of contract.
• Assist legal counsel in litigation support, including preparing for and giving expert witness testimony.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders as required.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive experience in forensic accounting.
• Demonstrated expertise in fraud investigation, litigation support, and financial analysis .
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and forensic accounting software.
• Strong investigative mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial matters clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex case files remotely.
