Forensic Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Forensic Accountant to join their specialist team, offering a hybrid working model from their offices in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is critical in investigating financial irregularities, fraud, and complex disputes. You will apply your accounting expertise to uncover financial misconduct, gather evidence, and prepare expert reports for legal proceedings. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into financial fraud, embezzlement, asset misappropriation, and other financial crimes.
• Analyze complex financial data, accounting records, and other documentation to identify patterns and anomalies.
• Quantify financial losses and damages resulting from fraudulent activities or disputes.
• Prepare detailed and objective forensic accounting reports, often used as evidence in legal proceedings.
• Assist in litigation support, including providing expert witness testimony.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards throughout all investigations.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a specialization or significant experience in forensic accounting.
• Proven experience in fraud investigation, litigation support, or dispute resolution.
• Strong understanding of accounting, auditing, and investigative techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in forensic accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
