Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for forest management, including planting, thinning, and harvesting schedules.
• Supervise and manage a team of forestry workers, ensuring efficient task allocation and performance monitoring.
• Oversee the procurement of machinery, equipment, and supplies necessary for forestry operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations pertaining to woodland management.
• Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to monitor forest health, pest infestations, and disease outbreaks.
• Manage budgets and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

• A degree in Forestry, Arboriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in a forestry management or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of silviculture , forest ecology, and sustainable forestry practices.
• Strong understanding of relevant UK legislation and health and safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in GIS software and other relevant forestry management tools.
