About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Formulation Scientist specializing in Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) forms to join their research and development team. This position is fully remote and will involve the design, development, and optimization of new drug formulations, with a focus on tablets and capsules. You will leverage your expertise in pharmaceutical sciences to create robust formulations that ensure drug efficacy, stability, and patient compliance. This is an ideal role for a motivated scientist who excels in a remote work environment and is passionate about drug product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative oral solid dosage formulations for various therapeutic areas.
- Conduct pre-formulation studies, including excipient compatibility and solubility enhancement.
- Characterize formulated products using analytical techniques and performance testing.
- Troubleshoot formulation challenges and optimize processes for manufacturability and scalability.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and regulatory submission data related to formulation development.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, with a strong focus on Oral Solid Dosage .
- In-depth knowledge of formulation principles, excipients, and manufacturing processes for tablets and capsules.
- Experience with analytical techniques for solid-state characterization and performance testing.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for a remote-based role .
