Freight Forwarder

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and efficient Freight Forwarder to join their international logistics team in Liverpool . This role is pivotal in coordinating the movement of goods across borders, managing all aspects of international shipping. You will liaise with clients, carriers, and customs authorities to ensure smooth and timely transit of freight by air, sea, and land. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual with a strong understanding of international trade regulations and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and coordinate the shipment of goods via air, sea, and road transport.
• Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and invoices.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on shipment status and address any queries.
• Negotiate rates and terms with shipping lines, airlines, and trucking companies.
• Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
• Ensure compliance with all international trade laws, customs regulations, and security requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, or shipping.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation for import and export.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liapeniase with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and standard office applications.
• A relevant qualification in International Trade or Logistics is desirable.
