Freight Forwarder

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and organised Freight Forwarder to manage the movement of goods across international borders for their operations based in Norwich . This role involves coordinating shipments via air, sea, and road, managing customs documentation, and liaising with a network of global partners to ensure efficient and compliant transit. You will play a key role in optimizing shipping routes, managing costs, and providing excellent service to clients, ensuring timely and secure delivery of their cargo. This hybrid position balances essential on-site coordination with the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and coordinate international shipments via air, sea, and road freight.
• Prepare and process all necessary customs documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Communicate with shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, and overseas agents.
• Track shipments and provide clients with regular updates on their cargo status.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the shipping process.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar international logistics role.
• Solid understanding of international trade, customs procedures, and shipping regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite .
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing responsibilities both remotely and on-site.
