Freight Forwarder

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Freight Forwarder to manage the transportation of goods for clients in Liverpool . This role involves coordinating international and domestic shipments, negotiating rates with carriers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, providing them with solutions for their shipping needs and managing all aspects of the freight process from origin to destination. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of global trade, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record in the freight forwarding industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and coordinate the shipment of goods via air, sea, and road freight.
• Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including customs declarations and bills of lading.
• Negotiate competitive rates with airlines, shipping lines, and haulage companies.
• Track shipments and provide clients with regular updates on their cargo's status.
• Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit, ensuring smooth delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and overseas partners.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar international logistics role.
• In-depth knowledge of international trade, customs procedures, and shipping regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and relevant industry platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex logistical arrangements.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client and carrier relationships.
