Freight Forwarder

About the Role

Our client is searching for a skilled and experienced Freight Forwarder to join their international logistics team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage global shipments from the comfort of your home office. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods across borders, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and optimizing shipping routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of global logistics and excellent client management skills, playing a crucial part in connecting businesses worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and manage international shipments via air, sea, and road freight.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
• Communicate effectively with international clients, customs brokers, and transportation providers.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates on their status to all relevant parties.
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers to secure competitive pricing.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar international logistics role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and documentation.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to liaunt with global partners.
• Proficiency in logistics software and remote collaboration tools.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex shipments simultaneously.
