Frontend Developer (React)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and proficient Frontend Developer with expertise in React to join their growing digital product team in Glasgow . You will be responsible for translating UI/UX designs into functional, engaging, and responsive web applications. This role involves working closely with backend developers and designers to deliver exceptional user experiences across various devices and platforms. You'll contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, in a collaborative environment that values innovation and user-centric design.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement user-facing features using modern JavaScript frameworks, primarily React .
• Translate UI/UX wireframes and mockups into high-quality, reusable code.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and provide constructive feedback.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable frontend code.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Frontend Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing React projects.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• In-depth knowledge of the React ecosystem, including state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API).
• Experience with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel) and version control systems (Git).
• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
