Full Stack Developer - E-commerce

About the Role

Our client is looking for a versatile Full Stack Developer to join their dynamic e-commerce team in Southampton . This hybrid role requires you to contribute to both frontend and backend development, building and enhancing features for their thriving online retail platform. You will work closely with designers, product owners, and other developers to create seamless user experiences and robust backend functionality. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain both frontend user interfaces and backend services for the e-commerce platform.
• Implement new features and functionalities, ensuring a high-quality user experience and robust performance.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for both client-side and server-side applications.
• Collaborate with the team to design database schemas and optimize queries for performance.
• Integrate with third-party services and APIs to extend platform capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to architectural discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues across the full stack.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in full-stack development.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS , and a modern framework like React or Vue.js .
• Strong backend development skills using languages such as Python (Django/Flask), Node.js, or PHP (Laravel) .
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and understanding of database design principles.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
