Fundraising Events Officer

About the Role

Our client, a well-established charity organisation, is seeking a proactive and organised Fundraising Events Officer to join their team in Brighton . This role is pivotal in the planning and successful execution of a variety of fundraising events aimed at generating crucial income and raising awareness for the organisation's work across East Sussex . You will work closely with the fundraising team, volunteers, and external suppliers to ensure events are well-managed, engaging, and financially successful, contributing directly to the charitable cause.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, organisation, and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising events, including challenge events, dinners, and community activities.
• Manage event logistics, ensuring all operational aspects are handled efficiently, from venue booking to supplier liaison.
• Support the development of event marketing and communication plans to maximise participant and donor engagement.
• Recruit, brief, and manage volunteers to assist at events, ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience.
• Maintain accurate records of event income, expenditure, and participant data, contributing to post-event analysis for the charity .

Requirements

• Previous experience in event coordination or administration, ideally within a fundraising or charitable context.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with event management or CRM systems is advantageous.
