About the Role

Our client, a highly respected charitable organization focused on (specific cause, e.g., animal welfare), is seeking an accomplished Fundraising Manager to drive income generation from Glasgow and across Scotland. This strategic role is critical for securing the financial resources needed to sustain and expand our vital work. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with major donors, trusts, and corporate partners, and ensuring the charity meets its ambitious financial targets to continue making a profound difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy , setting ambitious but achievable income targets for Scotland.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations, and corporate partners, identifying new opportunities for support.
• Plan and oversee fundraising campaigns and events, ensuring they are engaging, cost-effective, and deliver maximum return.
• Collaborate with the communications team to develop compelling fundraising appeals and materials that resonate with potential donors.
• Manage the fundraising budget, monitor income and expenditure, and provide accurate financial reports to senior management.
• Stay abreast of fundraising best practices and trends, ensuring the charity employs effective and ethical methods.

Requirements

• Proven track record of success in fundraising management , ideally within the charity sector .
• Demonstrated experience in cultivating and securing significant donations from major givers, trusts, and corporations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and build strong relationships.
• Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a data-driven approach to fundraising.
• A deep understanding of and passion for the charity's mission .
• Ability to travel across Scotland as needed for meetings and events.
