About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Games Tester to join their established, fully remote quality assurance team in the UK . You will be pivotal in identifying and resolving defects to ensure the delivery of high-quality gaming experiences. This position offers the unique advantage of working from home while contributing to the development of exciting new titles. You will collaborate with a passionate team of developers and testers, applying your critical eye to guarantee that every game meets stringent quality benchmarks before launch, fostering a culture of excellence and player satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans and scenarios to uncover bugs and issues in game builds.
- Accurately document and report all identified defects, including detailed steps to reproduce and relevant attachments.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to confirm the successful resolution of reported bugs.
- Assess game functionality, performance, and user experience across specified platforms.
- Provide insightful feedback to the development team regarding gameplay, balance, and potential improvements.
- Actively participate in remote team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Games Tester or QA role.
- A strong passion for video games and an understanding of what makes a game enjoyable.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a systematic testing approach.
- Familiarity with bug tracking software such as JIRA or similar tools.
- Strong written communication skills for clear and concise bug reporting.
- Proven ability to work independently and effectively manage time in a fully remote environment.
