Games Tester

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Games Tester to join their expanding fully remote team operating across the UK . You will play a crucial part in the game development lifecycle by thoroughly testing new and existing game titles, identifying any bugs, glitches, or usability issues. Your feedback will directly influence game quality and player satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive testing of video games according to defined test plans and ad-hoc exploratory testing.
• Accurately report defects, including steps to reproduce, severity, and impact, using established reporting tools.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure game stability and integrity.
• Communicate effectively with game developers and designers to clarify requirements and report findings.
• Test various aspects of games, including gameplay mechanics, user interface, performance, and compatibility across different hardware.
• Contribute insights and suggestions for improving game design and user experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Games Tester or in a similar Quality Assurance role.
• Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies relevant to the gaming industry.
• Ability to meticulously document bugs and provide clear, objective feedback.
• Familiarity with popular game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus.
• Excellent observational skills and a critical eye for detail.
• A strong interest in playing and analyzing video games.
