About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Games Tester to join their thriving, completely remote development team. As a Games Tester, you will play an integral part in the pre-release phases of our exciting new game projects, meticulously scrutinizing every aspect of gameplay to ensure a flawless user experience. Your sharp eye for detail and passion for gaming will be essential in uncovering bugs, verifying fixes, and providing constructive feedback that directly influences the final product. Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans and ad-hoc testing to discover and document gameplay issues and technical defects.
- Accurately record and report bugs, including detailed steps to reproduce, in our bug tracking database .
- Communicate effectively with development and design teams to clarify requirements and resolve identified problems.
- Assess game performance, stability, and user interface elements for any inconsistencies or flaws.
- Contribute to team discussions regarding game quality and testing strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Games Tester or Quality Assurance capacity, preferably within the video game sector.
- Solid understanding of the game development process and the role of QA.
- Proficiency with bug tracking software such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Ability to critically analyze game mechanics and identify potential areas for improvement.
- Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to testing tasks.
