About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Games Tester to join their virtual quality assurance department on a contract basis. This role is integral to the final stages of game development, ensuring that all titles meet stringent quality benchmarks before release. Key Responsibilities

• Execute test cases and perform exploratory testing on various game builds and features.
• Report defects with accurate descriptions, severity levels, and reproducible steps using a designated bug tracking system.
• Confirm that fixes for reported issues have been implemented correctly and perform regression testing as needed.
• Provide qualitative feedback on gameplay, user experience, and overall game design to enhance player satisfaction.
• Maintain clear and concise communication with the QA Lead and development team through online channels regarding testing status and identified issues.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a Games Tester role or similar QA capacity.
• A strong passion for video games and an understanding of common game genres and mechanics.
• Excellent observation skills and a meticulous approach to identifying and documenting defects.
• Ability to work effectively and manage time efficiently in a remote, independent work environment.
• Familiarity with common gaming platforms and testing methodologies.
