This role is fundamental to delivering high-quality gaming experiences by thoroughly scrutinizing game builds for bugs, performance issues, and design flaws. You will be instrumental in the game development lifecycle, providing critical feedback that helps shape the final product into something players will love. Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test cases across multiple game builds to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Report defects with precision, including detailed descriptions, replication steps, and relevant attachments.
- Conduct regression testing to confirm bug fixes and ensure no new issues have been introduced.
- Provide feedback on gameplay, user interface, and overall player experience.
- Communicate effectively with the development and QA teams regarding testing progress and identified issues.
- Assist in the development and refinement of test plans and test strategies.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a Games Tester role or a closely related QA position.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing principles.
- Proficiency with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Strong analytical skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and test environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for remote collaboration.
