About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and analytical Games Tester to join their fully remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing the quality and player experience of their upcoming game releases. You will meticulously test game builds, identify defects, and provide essential feedback that directly informs the development cycle. Key Responsibilities

• Execute defined test cases and perform ad-hoc testing to uncover bugs, glitches, and usability issues in game builds.
• Document all identified defects with precision, including clear steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, and severity assessment.
• Provide detailed qualitative feedback on gameplay mechanics, user interface design, audio, and overall player experience.
• Collaborate effectively with game designers, developers, and fellow QA team members through online communication platforms.
• Conduct thorough regression testing to confirm that bug fixes have resolved issues and have not introduced new problems.
• Contribute to the creation and updating of test documentation and checklists.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Games Tester role or a similar Quality Assurance position within the gaming sector.
• Strong understanding of game development processes and standard testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with bug tracking software such as JIRA or equivalent tools.
• Excellent analytical skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration in a remote setting.
• Must be based in the UK and capable of working independently with strong time management skills.
