Games Tester

About the Role

Our client is looking for a sharp-eyed and dedicated Games Tester to enhance their quality assurance efforts. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to work from any location within the UK . As a Games Tester, you will be a critical gatekeeper, ensuring that every game shipped meets exceptionally high standards of quality, stability, and player engagement. You will work closely with talented developers to identify, document, and resolve issues, playing a key part in the final polish of exciting new game titles and contributing to the overall success of the studio.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive functional, performance, and compatibility testing on game builds.
• Write clear, detailed, and concise bug reports for identified issues.
• Verify bug fixes implemented by the development team.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of test plans and test cases.
• Provide subjective feedback on gameplay elements, controls, and overall user experience.
• Collaborate with QA leads and developers to prioritize testing efforts and resolve critical issues.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Games Tester or QA role is essential.
• Understanding of game development processes and common testing tools.
• Proficiency with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for effective reporting and teamwork.
• A passion for video games and an understanding of the player perspective.
