About the Role
Our client is expanding its remote development team and seeking a dedicated Games Tester to ensure the highest quality of their innovative game titles. In this role, you will be at the forefront of quality assurance, meticulously testing game builds to identify and report bugs, performance issues, and usability concerns. Working entirely remotely, you will collaborate closely with a distributed team of developers and designers to refine the player experience, ensuring our games are polished and engaging upon release. Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed test cases and perform exploratory testing to uncover software defects.
- Accurately log bugs with comprehensive descriptions, severity levels, and reproduction steps.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and defect status to the QA lead and development team.
- Conduct regression testing to confirm the resolution of reported issues.
- Offer insightful feedback on gameplay mechanics, user interface, and overall game design.
- Participate in team meetings and discussions to contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- A strong passion for video games and a good understanding of game genres and mechanics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to identifying problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
- Self-discipline and the ability to manage tasks and time efficiently in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with bug tracking software is a plus.
